  1. To build and empower the capacities of 36 local grass root children’s structures (Governments of
    Pupils) of 36 schools of Kukes region through intensive trainings and assistance to promote respect of
    their rights
  2. To increase participation of children (both girls and boys on equal basis) in public school/village life and
    activities  by providing them with proper knowledge skills and tools

I. The main activities January - September 2007
  1. Refurbished, assisted and facilitated establishment of Governments of Pupils in 23
    targeted schools of mine affected areas
  2. Conducted training of 6 Trainers for children’s rights
  3. Conducted training of 23 Governments of Pupils
  4. Conducted Training of 50  teachers of targeted communities
  5. Developed produce and distribute awareness rising messages for children’s rights and
    gender equality, adapted to specific northeast context, (leaflets )
  6. Conducted   awareness raising round tables in targeted school
  7. Supported TV crew of youngsters from Kukes  to prepare Tv-reportages on children
  8. Conducted extracurricular school recreational activities
  9. Set up, train and publish` Teen newspaper for publication of the children’s opinions.

III. The main activities to be conducted during September – December 2007:
  1. Assist/Facilitate  the process of elections of  the Governments of Pupils in 36 targeted
    school during the new school year 2008  
  2. Conduct training of Governments of Pupils on the functioning and management  of these
    structures  (Organization and management, duties and responsibilities)
  3. Conduct Training of  teachers – Coordinators of Governments of Pupils of targeted
    schools
  4. Establish/Set up Network of Governments of Pupils at regional level of Kukes.
  5. Promote “Week of good governance” by putting Governments  of pupils at their
    respective Local government Institutions
  6. Extend and publish teen Newspaper for all Governments of pupils of Kukes region.
  7. Produce and distribute awareness rising messages to promote children’s rights and
    gender equality, adapted to specific northeast context, (leaflets)
  8. Conduct awareness raising round tables/workshops to promote children’s rights and
    gender equality in villages by involving school children/Gov of pupils during summer
    vocations  
  9. Support Governments of Pupils’ structures to organize extra-curricular school activities to
    promote children’s rights and gender equality with their peers during summer vocations
  10. Support TV crew of youngsters from Kukes to prepare reportages called ‘-Troç” which
    promote children’s rights and gender equality in Kukes region.
