TITLE OF THE PROJECT:
Awareness of the in mine affected areas of Northeast Albania about mine and
UXO-s threat through MRE community based activities
OBJECTIVE:
To reduce accidents resulting from mines and UXO-s by involving community human
resources to keep their communities constantly informed about the mines and UXO threat.

Educational Re-integration of children mine survivors
OBJECTIVE:
To help 8 children to get back to school and 2 survivors to get medical support

Kukes Women Entrepreneurs’ Support Project
OBJECTIVE:
To support the municipalities of Krume and Kukes for the implementation and management
of revolving fund ($ 12 500 in each Municipality) for women entrepreneurs to start an
income-generating activity/ strengthen their existing small businesses

TITLE OF THE PROJECT:
Empowerment of Community Responses to Child Protection in Kukes
Municipality
OVERALL GOAL:
To reduce the vulnerability of children at-risk of trafficking and abuse in Kukes Municipality,
North-eastern Albania, by increasing community-based prevention and protection practices.

SPECIAL OBJECTIVES:
  1. To ensure that children at risk in Kukes Municipality are identified, assessed, referred
    and provided with appropriate/specialized services
  2. To ensure that local government structures have the required capacity to manage
    coordinated responses for child protection
  3. To ensure that professionals have knowledge/ skills to deliver specialized services
  4. To strengthen/institutionalize referral mechanisms and cross- sectorial collaboration
    an increase cooperation of the stakeholders in CP  
  5. To increase public awareness about child protection through se public awareness

    Psychologists of Schools of Kukes; 1 social Workers of Labor Office of Kukes
RESULTS:
  1. Established CPO at municipality and handed over to municipality
  2. Children at-risk are detected by CPO staff and local social administrators, are
    provided with relevant support and/or referral services, and regular mechanisms is in
    place to refer and follow up on them on regular basis,
  3. Effective and sustainable protection structures and mechanisms are in place at Kukes
    Municipality to manage coordinated responses for child protection
  4. CPO structures at Kukes Municipality have increased their knowledge and skills to
    address the holistic needs of children at-risk
  5. Communities have increased awareness and knowledge skills to protect their children
    from trafficking, exploitation and abuse and are able to advocate for their protection
    at local Government Institutions.

OVERALL GOAL:
To improve respect of children’s rights and gender equality in mine affected communities of
North-eastern Albania by increasing their commitment and participation in public life and
activities
SPECIAL OBJECTIVES:
  1. To build the capacity of local grass root children’s structures through intensive
    trainings for  promotion of  children’s rights and gender equality,  
  2. To increase participation of children (both girls and boys on equal basis)  in public
    school/village activities  by providing them with proper knowledge skills and tools for
    the awareness raising campaigns and advocacy against discrimination
